A low-cost, dependable, high-quality HIgh Steel of high quality, with carbon and somewhat less nickel for toughness and edge retention. Gifts infinity precision heat treated on steel takes and keeps an edge well and has a high wear resistance that can tolerate abrasive and adhesive wear. The black oxide coating is a chemical bath or conversion coating that changes the blade steel's surface to magnetite. Black oxide is mostly used for aesthetic purposes, although it also provides modest corrosion protection and reduces light reflection from the blade. Gifts infinity's unique mechanism offers smooth, secure, and rapid one-handed blade deployment by using a torsion bar to move the blade out of the handle.
