It's nice to find an alternative that is Zippo branded for an instert. Works well. Does require tuning for the gas output.
I bought a solid silver zippo but I wanted a torch for outside use and cigars as well, so I bought this and the double torch lights right up outside and works great.
Much much better than other torch liters costing 5 times as much
For those who only use a lighter once in a great while but still want to use your favorite zippo without having to keep liquid fuel, wicks, and flints on hand; this the accessory you didn’t know you needed until now. Drops straight in to a Zippo body. Makes the classic clicking sound when you open the lid. Lights your fire or your vice every time. Just like the original.
Wonderful idea
Creates a hot, consistent flame and lights every time as long as there is enough fuel in it. The feature ratings should be explained. Battery life for this is not applicable, there is no battery. The spark is generated by arcing electric current through the gas flow when the button is pressed, and that current is made with a piezoelectric device. The force of pressing the switch generates that spark and no battery is needed. 1 star for giftable because using a zippo today is something the user …probably does out of preference and they may not like the idea of changing their light.
Works great! Change your old lighters over to simple to use modern tech
This insert does seem to need refilling often, probably due to the dual flames. Have not used it very long, works fine so far. It would be more of a novelty item in my opinion but can think of a few uses that it also could be used for. I am a collector of ZIPPO lighters and bought it to add to my collection, I have used it and might buy another one to have an unused one for my collection. This does not have the ZIPPO Lifetime Warranty, I believe it has a 2-year Warranty on it.
